ISGAR – a concept which was much needed in Indian setup to study gastrointestinal system as a sub speciality and the importance it deserves. The discussions of cases which are tricky for a propose diagnosis by in-depth analysis by seniors with enough clinical input makes all of us open our eyes to see the subtle differences which can have far reaching consequences in the management of the patient. The fact that all case discussions are followed by pathological report , where we went wrong analysis only strengthens the bond .. A true blessing in today’s time.

Dr Diva Shah

I — Innovative
S — Supportive
G — Grand group
A — Always active
R — Research oriented

One most active subject specific group with lots feedback active discussion and input of senior sub-specialist in GI imaging. Happy and honour to be associated actively in such group.

Dr Mukesh Harisinghani, MD, FACR

Professor of Radiology, Harvard Medical School
Director of Abdominal MRI, Massachusetts General Hospital

ISGAR is a vibrant community that has successfully cultivated the subspecialty of abdominal radiology within the Indian subcontinent. The leadership and members need to be commended on high level of achievement in a relatively short period of time, including the establishment of the JGAR. It is not trivial bringing together people practicing the subspecialty of abdominal radiology, organizing a structured national level conference as well as having a journal that furthers the mission of the society. I pray and sincerely wish the society continues to grow with ever-expanding membership and escalates the level of abdominal radiology both in India and abroad.
