Friends! The formation of the long needed Indian Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology, ISGAR, has finally happened. It is a great honour for me to be the founding President of this society as well as to be associated with my esteemed founding governing council members.
ISGAR is the ideal platform for learning and research for those who are specially interested in abdominal radiology. This society will proactively connect these radiologists and their clinical colleagues. Multidisciplinary collaboration is an important goal of ISGAR. Educational activities of the society will include conferences and workshops, full and travelling fellowships, case discussions on the website and many more. Connecting with our International counterparts with exchange of knowledge is also one of our goals. Our mission statement and objectives are available on this website.
Friends, we no longer need to practice abdominal radiology, isolated in different parts of India. We are now united under ISGAR where we can help enhance each other’s skills to better patient outcomes. Come, lets join hands and work for the upliftment of our chosen sub-speciality. Join ISGAR today!

ISGAR - a concept which was much needed in Indian setup to study gastrointestinal system as a sub speciality and the importance it deserves. The discussions of cases which are tricky for a propose diagnosis by in-depth analysis by seniors with enough clinical input makes all of us open our eyes to see the subtle differences which can have far reaching consequences in the management of the patient . The fact that all case discussions are followed by pathological report , where we went wrong analysis only strengthens the bond .. A true blessing in today’s time
